Odisha CM dismisses government medical officer over corruption charges in Sundargarh
Bhubaneswar, Aug. 13 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday dismissed Dr Patitapaban Barik from government service.
The action was reportedly taken over corruption charges against him during his tenure as a medical officer at Gurundia Community Health Centre (CHC) in Sundargarh district.
According to reports, taking the corruption charges seriously, CM Majhi ordered Barik's dismissal from government service.
The action came as the state government reiterated its policy of zero tolerance towards corruption. CM Majhi directed the administration to maintain strict vigilance against corrupt practices at all levels.
CM Majhi further warned that officials found involved in corruption would not be spared.
