Bhubaneswar, May 5 -- Odishagovernment on Monday authorised the release of more than Rs 61 crore to approximately 79,000 citizens who were previously excluded from the flagship 'Subhadra' scheme.
Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida oversaw the disbursement via a Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, targeting individuals whose payments had been delayed by verification and technical complications.
Following the successful resolution of pending cases at various administrative levels, the state provided the following breakdown of the newly released funds:
Initial Assistance: 21,901 beneficiaries received their first instalment.
Secondary Support: 22,347 individuals were granted the second instalment.
