Bhubaneswar, Oct. 30 -- Odisha on Thursday approved investment proposals worth Rs 3,855 crore for 22 industrial projects, which are expected to create 7,765 employment opportunities across the state.

The approvals were given at the 151st State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg. The proposed projects will come up in 12 districts and cover several sectors, including manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, biofuel, aerospace and defence, infrastructure and tourism.

The investments are expected to expand industrial activities in different parts of the state and create more local employment opportunities.
