Bhubaneswar, July 1 -- The Government of Odisha on Wednesday approved the Odisha Deep Sea Fishing Mission (2026-2036) with a total investment of Rs 2,295.45 crore, marking a significant step toward strengthening the State's Blue Economy and modernising its marine fisheries sector.

The decision was cleared by the State Cabinet on the recommendation of the Fisheries & Animal Resources Development Department.
