Bhubaneswar, July 1 -- The Odisha Cabinet on Wednesday approved the establishment of the Odisha State Data Centre 2.0 (OSDC 2.0), a major digital infrastructure upgrade aimed at strengthening the state's e-governance ecosystem.

According to sources, the existing State Data Centre, operational since 2011, currently hosts over 600 government applications serving 39 departments. However, with rising demand and infrastructure reaching end-of-life, the upgrade has been deemed necessary.

The proposed OSDC 2.0 will be a Tier-III compliant, secure, scalable and state-owned data centre designed to support the expanding digital governance requirements of Odisha.
