Bhubaneswar, May 28 -- For the first time, the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) will hold a Higher Secondary Improvement Examination, allowing Class XII state board students to upgrade their grades in a single subject.

This debut test is scheduled to run concurrently with the annual Instant examination on July 3 and 4. According to the council's official notification, candidates must pay a registration fee of Rs 800 for the Improvement examination, whilst the fee for the Instant test is set at Rs 600.
