Bhubaneswar, June 25 -- A high-level team completed field inspection in Mahakalpada tehsil in Odisha's Kendrapara to assess the feasibility of a proposed Rs 24,700-crore mega shipbuilding cluster.

Planned across approximately 2,000 acres of land, it is expected to enhance maritime infrastructure, accelerate regional industrialisation, and generate large-scale employment opportunities.

A joint delegation comprised of the Special Secretary of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, the Director of the Ports Directorate, and the Kendrapara District Collector and senior technical experts conducted the inspection.
