Bhubaneswar, Sept. 11 -- On the second day of his UAE visit on Thursday, OdishaChief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi held a series of high-level meetings in Dubai with UAE leaders, global investors, industry representatives and commercial establishments to explore new investment opportunities for the state.

Proposals worth Rs 8,417 crore were received during CM Majhi's visit. Five MoUs were signed and eight investment proposals were received. The investments are expected to create as many as 14,310 employment opportunities.

The proposed investments cover sectors such as IT, real estate, logistics, food processing, agriculture, steel, rare earth chemicals, aluminium and the circular economy.
