Odisha announces Rs 29,627 crore rural road push; six connectivity schemes extended
Bhubaneswar, Aug. 27 -- Odisha has set aside Rs 29,627.55 crore to continue and expand six rural road and connectivity programmes over the next four to five years, with a focus on areas that still face poor road access. The programmes will cover remote, tribal and hilly regions, along with areas affected by missing road and bridge links.
The programmes will run from 2026-27 and cover new connectivity, improvement of existing roads and upgrading of roads transferred to the Rural Development department, as reported by The New Indian Express.
