Bhubaneswar, April 2 -- The Odisha government has rolled out a new policy offering significant financial support to biotechnology incubation centres, aiming to strengthen the state's innovation ecosystem and promote entrepreneurship. Under the initiative, new bio-incubators will be eligible for grants of up to Rs 10 crore, while existing centres can receive up to Rs 5 crore for expansion and upgradation.

The guidelines, issued by the state's science and technology department, focus on facilitating translational research, encouraging commercialisation, and building a sustainable biotech entrepreneurship ecosystem.
