Bhubaneswar, Aug. 13 -- The OdishaAgriculture Department seized 170 bags of fertiliser during a raid at Dahanikhia village under Naugaon block in Jagatsinghpur district. Urea, DAP, Gromor and potash were among the fertilisers seized from the house of a relative of local resident Tarak Sahu and from his shop.

Officials found fertiliser kept locked inside the house and also recovered stock from the shop. The department seized the fertiliser and collected samples for quality testing.

The samples have been sent to a laboratory, while the seized stock has been kept at the Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society in Deriki for safe custody until the reports arrive, informed an official.
