Bhubaneswar, July 9 -- The Regional Transport Office (RTO) in Cuttack intensified vehicle inspections on Thursday following a special enforcement drive launched by the State Transport Authority (STA) against vehicles operating without valid fitness certificates, insurance, or permits.

Acting on the STA's directive, transport officials have seized 56 vehicles so far during the ongoing crackdown.

The seized vehicles include auto-rickshaws, tractors, motorcycles, and goods carriers. Officials said both commercial and private vehicles are being inspected, with strict action being taken against those found violating mandatory fitness norms and other legal requirements.
