Bhubaneswar, May 19 -- BJD president Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday targeted the Odisha government over the recent assault incident in Berhampur. He alleged a deterioration in the law and order situation and demanded stringent action against those responsible.

Reacting to the incident through a post on social media, Patnaik said the episode shocked and disturbed people across the state and questioned the government's handling of public safety.

In his post, Patnaik wrote, "Odisha is witnessing the terrifying spectacle of anarchy; it doesn't feel like BJP rule, but rather that goondaraj is rampant.
