Bhubaneswar, June 1 -- Odisha is set to witness an extended spell of turbulent weather over the next five days, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing Red, Orange and Yellow warnings for several districts. The forecast indicates widespread rain, thunderstorms, lightning, hailstorms and strong gusty winds across the state, with the most severe weather expected in the southern and interior districts.

The IMD has issued a red warning for Kandhamal and Gajapati districts, forecasting thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, heavy rainfall, hailstorms and gusty surface winds reaching 60-70 kmph.
