Nalia River embankment collapses in Bhadrak, two panchayats face connectivity crisis
Bhubaneswar, Sept. 11 -- The embankment of the Nalia River collapsed on Friday near Rajualibindha village in Odisha's Bhadrak district after the floodwaters receded. The recent breach left residents concerned about access to the area. A stretch of the embankment extending more than 40 feet towards the river caved in near the road, reportedly.
As per reports, the collapse disrupted movement along the embankment. The stretch is used daily by hundreds of people from two panchayats. Villagers urged the district administration and the Salandi Canal Division to take immediate steps to repair the damaged stretch.
