Bhubaneswar, June 13 -- A civet-like animal was spotted on the upper structure of the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri, Odisha with a video of the sighting now going viral on social media. The incident reportedly took place on Thursday during the Jalakrida Ekadashi rituals, drawing attention from devotees and locals alike.

The animal was seen moving around the temple's upper structure near the 'Dadhi Naauti' area while Chhunara servitors had climbed to the top to hoist the Mahadeepa. The unusual sighting was noticed during the ritual, prompting curiosity among those present.
