Bhubaneswar, Aug. 26 -- A murder accused escaped from the Sundargarh District Headquarters Hospital on Wednesday where he was admitted for treatment. The accused has been identified as Tekchand Behera. He reportedly managed to evade security personnel on the pretext of going to urinate.

Behera was lodged in Sundargarh Jail as an undertrial prisoner. He was admitted to the surgery ward at the hospital on Tuesday following health issues. He later allegedly managed to flee the hospital while security personnel were on duty.
