Bhubaneswar, Sept. 27 -- In a dramatic rescue near Bhitarkanika, a mother deer jumped into the Baitarani River after her fawn was swept away by the strong current.

The incident took place in front of the Kalibhanjadia forest area, where people witnessed the mother deer entering the river in an attempt to reach her young one.

According to reports, the fawn was caught in the river's strong current and began drifting away. Seeing her young one in danger, the mother deer immediately jumped into the river in an attempt to rescue it.

But the strong current soon put both animals in danger, carrying them further downstream.
