Bhubaneswar, Sept. 24 -- A growing monkey menace has sparked fear among residents of Jagamohanpur and Sinkulabahal villages in Odisha's Keonjhar district, with more than 30 people reportedly suffering monkey bites so far.

The situation has become so serious that many villagers are now afraid to step outside their homes. Daily movement has been affected as residents remain wary of sudden monkey attacks in and around the two villages.

Children have also been among the worst affected by the fear. Many are reluctant to attend schools and Anganwadi centres due to concerns over being attacked on the way.
