Bhubaneswar, June 17 -- Unidentified miscreants targeted an SBI ATM kiosk at Betanati Hat Chhak in Mayurbhanj district early Wednesday, with police suspecting that cash may have been stolen. The exact amount involved, however, remains under investigation.

The incident took place between 3:00 am and 3.30 am when two persons allegedly arrived in a Scorpio and attempted to break open the ATM. The ATM is located in the busy Hat Chhak area of Betanati, close to several shops and not far from the local police station.

According to a preliminary investigation, the accused allegedly used a gas cutter to cut open the ATM.
