Bhubaneswar, Sept. 22 -- A striking incident during Ganesh idol immersion in Andhra Pradesh's Rayalaseema region has drawn attention after a dry stretch of the Chitravathi River suddenly witnessed a flow of water. The unusual sequence has since gone viral on social media.

For months, the Chitravathi riverbed had remained almost completely dry, with little or no water visible across the stretch. After Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, devotees brought idols to the river for immersion. However, with the river having dried up, there was no water available for the traditional Visarjan (immersion).
