Bhubaneswar, March 29 -- In an unfortunate incident from Odisha, a minor boy on Sunday went missing while bathing in the Mahanadi river. The mishap took place at Banki near the Baideswar T-Bridge, where two minor boys had gone to bathe. While bathing, one of the boys was reportedly swept away by strong currents and went missing. The missing minor has been identified as Sobhan Rout, a resident of Baideswar village.

Soon after receiving information about the incident, three teams of Fire Services rushed to the spot and launched an intensive search operation. Efforts are underway to trace the missing boy, even as anxiety grips the local residents. Meanwhile, a pall of gloom has descended over the village following the incident.
