Bhubaneswar, April 16 -- Police in Konark detained a minor male student following allegations of sexual assault involving a classmate. 

The incident, which reportedly took place on 25 March 2026, involves two juveniles who attend the same educational institution and coaching centre. Authorities initiated an investigation immediately after a formal complaint was lodged.

According to the reports, the male student allegedly lured the female student to the Konark helipad area, where the assault is said to have occurred. 

Both the victim and the accused are students at the same local school and also attend the same coaching facility.
