Bhubaneswar, Nov. 4 -- The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Crime Branch conducted raids at the houses and offices of Raja Chakra, Sadashiv Samal and Jyoti Mishra on Wednesday in connection with an alleged mining scam and a dispute over a crusher unit in Keonjhar.

The EOW team also visited Nunjharan village under Keonjhar Sadar police limits to conduct an on-ground investigation. Officials carried out measurements of the disputed site in the presence of local residents.

The EOW registered a case against Raja Chakra, Sadashiv Samal and several others on October 9 following a complaint by crusher owner Anjan Kumar Bej. A DSP-rank officer is leading the investigation.
