MEMU train service affected near Khurda Road after pantograph snags with damaged overhead equipment
Bhubaneswar, Sept. 4 -- A Cuttack-Palasa MEMU passenger train was affected near Khurda Road railway station on Thursday after its pantograph became entangled with a damaged overhead equipment (OHE) component while the train was entering the station.
The incident occurred at 5.58pm when MEMU train 68445 was approaching Khurda Road station. According to railway authorities, the pantograph came into contact with the damaged OHE component, resulting in a technical snag, as reported by The Times Of India.
The train could not move further following the incident, prompting railway authorities to ask passengers to deboard. They were later accommodated on other trains to continue their journeys.
