Bhubaneswar, April 8 -- A major embezzlement case involving medical arrear funds has come to light in Odisha's Ganjam district, prompting swift action by Vigilance authorities. Five employees of Kodala hospital were taken into custody as part of the ongoing investigation into the alleged financial irregularities.

The accused were initially taken to the Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) office, where they were questioned. Following preliminary interrogation, they were shifted to an undisclosed location for further questioning. Officials said that detailed information regarding the case will be shared at a later stage.
