India, Oct. 6 -- A man died during treatment, but his body remained at the Thakurmunda Community Health Centre in Mayurbhanj district for more than 36 hours as officials faced uncertainty over the post-mortem and handover.

The situation was eventually resolved after the deceased's family members reached the health centre and agreed to take the body. The man, reportedly from the Bahalda area, had been admitted to the facility on Sunday afternoon after his health condition deteriorated. He died later that evening while undergoing treatment.
