Bhubaneswar, May 29 -- A massive 140-ft sand sculpture of Lord Buddha has been unveiled on the banks of the Daya River in Bhubaneswar, carrying a universal message of peace and harmony.

The intricate artwork depicts Buddha in a reclining posture and was created under the initiative of the Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar. The installation has already attracted significant attention from visitors and art enthusiasts.

According to organisers, the sculpture measures 140 feet in length, 36 feet in height, and 50 feet in width, and was made using 22 lakh kilograms of sand. The large-scale project took nearly 36 hours to complete, with a team of 20 artists, including six young women, collaborating on the creative effort.
