Bhubaneswar, Sept. 7 -- A massive fire broke out in Cuttack district of Odisha on Monday, engulfing four rooms of a house. The fire reportedly claimed the lives of 50 goats kept in a cowshed.

The incident took place at Suanlo village in Niali of Cuttack district. The four rooms of the house were completely damaged in the fire, while 50 goats died after being trapped in the blaze.

According to reports, the fire started from the smoke in the cowshed and soon spread to the house. Four rooms were completely burnt and reduced to ashes in the incident.

A total of 65 goats were reportedly kept inside the cowshed when the fire broke out. Of them, 50 goats were burnt to death in the blaze. 15 goats remain injured.
