Bhubaneswar, Sept. 24 -- A massive fire broke out at a tent house storeroom in the Paikarapur area on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar late Wednesday night, reducing tent materials worth lakhs of rupees to ashes.

The blaze, which reportedly spread rapidly through the storeroom, triggered panic in the locality as thick smoke and flames engulfed the premises. Fire Service personnel were immediately alerted, and teams were rushed to the spot to contain the situation.

A team from Tamando Fire Station was among the first to reach the site and began firefighting operations. However, given the intensity of the blaze and the large quantity of combustible materials stored inside the premises, additional teams had to be deployed.
