Bhubaneswar, March 6 -- Security forces continue their search for Maoist leader Shukru, even as his family members and villagers anxiously wait for his return home. The residence of the Maoist leader is located in Kurub village under the Kalimela police station limits of Malkangiri district, where his family continues to live.

According to sources, Shukru has been associated with the Maoist organization for more than three decades. Over the years, he has reportedly remained active in Maoist activities and continues to operate with his team in the region. Security forces have intensified their efforts to track down Maoist operatives in the area as part of ongoing anti-Naxal operations.
