Bhubaneswar, June 3 -- A man was allegedly trapped inside a Shiva temple in Chandapur village under Parjang police station limits in Odisha's Dhenkanal district on Tuesday after reportedly entering the shrine during the night in an attempted theft.

According to reports, the man entered the temple through a gap in the door but was unable to find a way out. With no escape route, he reportedly spent the entire night inside the temple before being discovered the next morning.

The incident came to light when temple priest Bhagaban Rana arrived to perform the daily worship rituals. On noticing the man inside the temple, he immediately alerted local villagers.
