Bhubaneswar, April 9 -- In a fresh twist to an alleged child abduction case reported from Nirakarpur railway station in Khordha district, the Government Railway Police (GRP) on Thursday revealed that the incident was allegedly staged by the child's own father.

According to police sources, the man had initially claimed that his infant son was kidnapped from the station premises on Tuesday night. The matter came to light on Wednesday morning after he lodged a complaint with the GRP, prompting an immediate investigation and search operation.
