Bhubaneswar, Aug. 7 -- A man who allegedly snatched a woman's mobile phone to buy a gift for his fiancee was arrested along with his associate in Bhubaneswar on Thursday, a day after the crime. The duo allegedly targeted the woman in Odisha's capital before fleeing on a motorcycle. Police later traced them using CCTV footage and recovered the stolen phone.

The accused have been identified as Rakesh Nayak alias Rathi, a native of Odagaon in Nayagarh and currently residing at Unit-6. His associate Debabrata Baral has also been nabbed.

According to police, the snatching took place near Radhaballabh Math at Nageswar Tangi on Wednesday, following which the victim lodged a complaint at Shree Lingaraj police station.
