Bhubaneswar, Sept. 13 -- A 30-year-old man was allegedly shot at over an incident related to setting an auto-rickshaw on fire in Odisha's Ganjam on Saturday. The victim has been identified as Jayasen Pradhan of Sarabadi village under Badagada police station.

The incident took place near Jodabandh, where Jayasen was allegedly attacked by three persons. The rounds hit his abdomen and waist and he sustained two bullet injuries.

According to reports, the three accused arrived at the spot on a motorcycle. They allegedly fired two rounds at Jayasen and fled the area.

Jayasen was initially taken to Aska after sustaining the bullet injuries. As his condition was critical, he was later shifted to Berhampur for further treatment.
