Man posing as Army officer detained while entering Puri Srimandir, probe underway
Bhubaneswar, June 21 -- A man allegedly posing as an Army officer was detained by the temple's Enforcement Squad while attempting to enter the Shree Jagannath Temple in Odisha's Puri on Sunday.
The accused, identified as Upendra Purohit reportedly hails from Rajasthan. He was allegedly dressed in an Army uniform when he arrived at the temple premises.
According to reports, the Enforcement Squad became suspicious during the entry process and apprehended the individual. Upon verification, it was found that he was allegedly impersonating an Army officer.
The man was subsequently handed over to the police for further questioning.
