Bhubaneswar, June 15 -- A man, who was allegedly attacked by his son during a dispute over property division in Odisha's Ganjam district, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital late on Sunday night. The deceased has been identified as Sarat Mohanty.

The incident took place at Tota Sahi under Gosani Nuagaon police station in Ganjam district. Sarat's son, Tuku Mohanty, is accused of carrying out the attack. Police detained Tuku and started an investigation into the case.

According to reports, Sarat and Tuku were engaged in frequent disputes over property-related issues. On Sunday afternoon, an argument reportedly broke out once again regarding the division of property.
