Bhubaneswar, June 10 -- Dev Mandal, a student from Malkangiri district, emerged as the topper in BCAT (Cinematography, Sound Recording and Sound Design) in the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE), with results announced on Monday.

A native of MV-2 village under the Dandakaranya rehabilitation project colony in Malkangiri, Dev is currently preparing for the NEET-UG re-examination scheduled to be held on June 21. Despite excelling in a film-related entrance examination, he is yet to make a final decision regarding his future academic path, as per a report by Times of India.
