Bhubaneswar, April 22 -- A major mishap was averted on Wednesday after fire broke out in the air conditioning (AC) unit of the SNCU building at the pediatric dept in VIMSAR, Sambalpur, sparking panic among the staff members. Upon receiving information, the fire department responded immediately to control the situation. 

According to initial investigations, the fire is suspected to have been caused by an electrical short circuit. The fire started in an AC.  

Fire services rushed to the spot and brought it under control. The swift action of the fire department ensured that the fire was brought under control without spreading further. The prompt evacuation of the building prevented any casualties or major destruction.
