Bhubaneswar, June 15 -- Boudh police seized a large quantity of cannabis concealed inside a water tanker that was allegedly being transported from Kantamal in Odisha's Boudh district on Monday. The seizure was made following a targeted operation based on specific intelligence inputs.

Police recovered 5 quintals and 10 kilograms of cannabis from the tanker during a search conducted at Tikirapada Chhak. The estimated value of the seized contraband is reported to be more than Rs 5 crore.

According to reports, police received information from a reliable source regarding the movement of the vehicle. Acting on the tip-off, officials intercepted the water tanker and carried out a thorough inspection.
