Bhubaneswar, March 22 -- In a major seizure, police recovered 1,500 bottles of cough syrup from a private bus in Sonepur district and took three accused into custody on Sunday. The operation was carried out by Rampur police in Dunguripali block after suspecting illegal transportation.

The bus, which was travelling from Bhubaneswar to Dunguripali, was intercepted near Rampur Women's College. During the inspection conducted in the presence of a magistrate, officers recovered the bottles and detained three individuals, who were later arrested.

The arrested accused have been identified as Umesh Sahu of Kandhumunda village under Bargarh's Gaisilet police station, Ambit Naik and Ashish Barge of Bolangir. Police have also apprehended the bus h...
