Bhubaneswar, April 7 -- In a major relief amid the ongoing LPG crisis, India received two gas-laden ships that were stranded in a conflict-affected region. The vessels arrived safely under the escort of the Indian Navy after navigating through challenging and high-risk conditions.
The ships, carrying LPG, were successfully brought to India under the leadership of Odia marine officer Ashok Kumar Dixit, who spearheaded the operation. One of the ships, the 'BW ELM', successfully completed the high-risk voyage, which involved navigating through the Strait of Hormuz, a strategically sensitive waterway often plagued by geopolitical tensions.
