Bhubaneswar, Sept. 21 -- Odisha is likely to witness a spell of heavy rainfall from Tuesday as a weather system over the Bay of Bengal is expected to intensify further. The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) in Bhubaneswar said a low-pressure area has formed over the North Andaman Sea and adjoining areas.

The system is likely to move towards the central Bay of Bengal and intensify into a depression on Monday. However, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has not made any forecast regarding the formation of a cyclone over the Bay of Bengal at present.
