Low-pressure area likely to form over BoB by July 3; heavy rain forecast for Odisha
Bhubaneswar, July 1 -- Odisha has been experiencing continuous rainfall for the past few dyas. A low-pressure area is liekly to be formed over the Bay of Bengal by July 3, as predicted by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
This weather system induced due to the low-pressure is expected to trigger heavy to very heavy rainfall across the states.
According to the Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar, the low-pressure system will likely develop over the northwest Bay of Bengal and its surrounding regions.
This development is supported by a cyclonic circulation that remains active over the north Bay of Bengal and the nearby coastal areas of south Bangladesh.
