Bhubaneswar, June 3 -- Determination, resilience and an unwavering belief in his abilities have helped a visually-impaired youth from Odisha's Kendrapara district secure a place in the Odisha Administrative Service (OAS).

Subham Soumen Senapati (28) of Sitalapatana village under Garadpur block has successfully cleared the Odisha Civil Services Examination conducted by the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC), securing the 164th rank. He achieved the feat in his fourth attempt.

Subham's journey has been marked by a series of personal and physical challenges. He reportedly lost his eyesight at the age of five following a medical complication. Yet, he remained focused on academics and consistently performed well in his studies.
