Bhubaneswar, March 18 -- Panic gripped Kesari village near the Champua border in Odisha's Keonjhar district after a lone tusker broke into a house on Tuesday night, causing damage and alarming residents.

According to reports, the elephant forced open the door of a villager's house and entered inside, creating a tense situation in the area.

During the incident, the tusker consumed stored paddy and rice and continued to ransack the house for a considerable period. The intrusion has heightened concerns among villagers, who are already dealing with frequent elephant movement in the region.
