Bhubaneswar, May 10 -- A lone tusker triggered panic in Odisha's Angul town after entering residential and institutional areas early Sunday morning. The elephant reportedly entered the premises of the Police Training College and damaged several trees inside the campus.

The tusker also strayed into the nearby police colony, where it destroyed trees and plants in household gardens. The movement of the elephant in populated areas created fear among residents, prompting authorities to intensify monitoring in the locality.
