Livestock inspector caught by Odisha Vigilance while taking Rs 80,000 bribe in Nabarangpur
Bhubaneswar, June 27 -- A Livestock Inspector in Odisha's Nabarangpur district was caught red-handed by the Vigilance Department while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 80,000 on Friday. Simultaneous raids were also carried out at multiple properties linked to the accused over allegations of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The accused, Prafulla Haldar, is posted as a Livestock Inspector in Raighar block. According to Vigilance, he had allegedly demanded the bribe from beneficiaries of the Chief Minister Kamadhenu Scheme to facilitate the release of subsidy funds.
