Liquor trader's house demolished in Bhubaneswar, father-son duo arrested
Bhubaneswar, May 1 -- A house belonging to alleged illegal liquor traders was demolished using a bulldozer in Odisha's Bhubaneswar on Friday.
The action was carried out jointly by Lingaraj police and the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) against accused Santosh Malia and Rakesh Malia.
The demolition was conducted after obtaining necessary permission from the BMC. The shop, located in an isolated area, reportedly created problems for local residents.
The action followed a tense situation that broke out on Thursday morning over illegal liquor trade. During the incident, the accused allegedly attacked a person with a machete on his palm.
