Bhubaneswar, June 27 -- Veteran Odia cinematographer Dillip Ray, who played a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity of Odia cinema for decades, passed away at his residence in Gorakabar, Cuttack, Odisha on Friday. He was 78.
Ray was one of the most respected names in the regional film industry and is remembered for his immense contribution to Odia cinema through a career spanning several decades.
During his illustrious career, Ray worked as a cinematographer in more than 70 Odia films and 15 Bengali films, leaving behind a remarkable legacy in regional cinema.
